All our crucibles are essentially made of fused silica, which is nothing else than high purity quartz sand, melted at a temperature over 2000°C.
Fused silica has very interesting features that fully justify its use in the manufacturing of dental crucibles :

Over 15 years ago, our company initiated, in Europe, the use of fused silica in dental crucibles. Today, this material is commonly used because it enables to notably increase the life span of crucibles.
Céramiques et Réfractaires is constantly looking for even more effective materials. Studies have been and still are conducted everyday for 15 years to offer the best quality of crucibles on the market.
Their life span is around a hundred casts.
